Challenges 2020

I don’t normally do Reading Challenges on Shifter Haven but there were a few that kinda caught my fancy (or my odd sense of humor) so I thought I’d give them a shot with this website instead of Keeper Bookshelf.  Let’s get to it!

WHAT AN ANIMAL READING CHALLENGE 2020

I’m considering this to be my sign up post for 2020 What An Animal Reading Challenge.  If that changes I’ll change out the link (and you’ll never know muahahaha)

Now this one made me smile because of that #2 on the rules and I quote: “2. The animal can be any type of animal (real or fictitious)–dog, cat, monkey, wolf, snake, insect, hedgehog, aardvark…dragon, mermaid, centaur, vampire, werewolf…you get the idea…”  Yeah.  That caught my eye.  🙂

I think this will be fun, now all I have to do is remember to go link up the books I’ve read and reviewed on their website.  That’s the insanely hard part for me… really, I suck at that part.

I have to go for Level 4 – read 21 books.  If I don’t read at least that many in the first half of the year then I should retire this site!!  So, here we go!

JANUARY 2020
  1.   Quicksilver Dragon by Zoe Chant
  2.   Winter by Reina Torres (Mystic Mountain #1)
  3.   Fealty of the Bear by T. S. Joyce (Hells Canyon Shifters #2)
  4.   Cut to the Chase by Layla Nash (City Shifters: The Pride #4)
  5.   When A Beta Roars by Eve Langlais ( A Lion’s Pride #2)
  6.   Patrick by Harmony Raines (Silverback Redemption #2)
February 2020
March 2020
April 2020

TA-DA… and we’ve hit the magical number twenty-one (21).  I’m not going to list any further reading nor move up my level… I suck at going to the sites and linking up.  But for my own personal achievement – YAY ME!  🙂

2020 SUPERNATURAL CREATURES READING CHALLENGE

It’s rare to come across a Paranormal Romance or purely Shifter Romance reading challenge.  But the 2020 Supernatural Creatures Reading Challenge comes pretty darned close.  For the moment, I’m considering this as my sign-up post – that may change in the coming days but for now, this is good.

There are several levels to this Reading Challenge and considering this is a 98% Shifter (supernatural) Romance blog then I think I can make it to the highest level by the end of the year.

But, we all know that life happens so I’m going to officially work toward the “Shifter Squelcher 41 – 60 Books” level and move up as needed.  I think I can do that considering how fast I read and how much I love Shifter Romance and perhaps I’m a bit addicted to series… *shrugs*

**In reality, all of the reviews on Shifter Haven qualify for this Challenge so I’m only going to keep track until I read that 60th book – really all you have to do is look through the titles for 2020 and my addiction, and the number of books read is very crystal clear**

and another TA-DA moment… I could continue, go for a higher number but I accomplished what I set out to do which was to follow through on a Reading Challenge even if I now have to force myself to go to the site and link them up.  It was fun, it was also a crazy year and usually, I’d have hit this mark much sooner in 2020 – but we all know this has not been a normal year by any stretch of the imagination.

Will I do this again in 2021?  I don’t know, honestly — let’s survive 2020 first, okay?  🙂
