Cover Description:

Black bear shifter Sophia Brooks has been floundering for a long time. She’s spent the last seven years at a job she hates, watching life pass her by. When she finally decides she’s had enough and quits just weeks before Christmas, her dad manages to convince her that a trip to Alaska for a shifter reunion is exactly what she needs. Sophia reluctantly agrees to travel to Frost Peak, but she regrets her decision almost as soon as she arrives. Being in Alaska forces her to face the fact that she hasn’t done anything meaningful with her life, and that she’s still very much alone with no prospects for romance on the horizon. But her bah humbug attitude is about to be turned on its head when she meets the impossibly handsome Finn Murray…

Grizzly shifter Finn Murray is best known for being a gruff, unfriendly loner. But his rough exterior is merely a wall to keep out the pain that he knows comes from opening your heart to someone. Finn is terrified of being hurt, and swore long ago that he would never love again. But when Sophia Brooks, daughter of shifter legend Zach Brooks, shows up for a Christmas reunion, Finn can’t keep his eyes off of her. When the walls around his heart start to crumble, he has to decide whether a life with Sophia is worth the risk…and he has to decide before Christmas comes to an end and Sophia leaves Alaska as quickly as she came.

Could a holiday romance change everything for Sophia? And will Finn overcome his fear of love and open his heart to the season’s possibilities? This Christmas, anything’s possible. Read this heartwarming holiday bear shifter romance to discover how Sophia and Finn turn the magic of the season into a chance at true love.

This is the final story in The Fur Coat Society series.  It also is a massive wrap up of all the connecting series that make up this wonderful amazing, huge family of shifter elders, children and now grandchildren.  It all started back with:  Ice Bear Shifters series – Fire Bear Shifters series – Water Bear series – Air Bear Shifters series and finally The Fur Coat Society … links to all the reviews of each and every story within all these series can be found on the Sloane Meyers page here at Shifter haven.

What an absolutely amazing journey it has been to get to this point.

While Homecoming In A Fur Coat wrapped up the Fur Coat Society part of this connected group of series – I feel that this story, Christmas In A Fur Coat is the wonderful send off into their future, final wrap up story that this group of amazing Shifters truly deserved.  And a huge thank you must go out to Sloane Meyers for giving us, the readers who have loved every single story, this wonderful Christmas present.

Sophia and Finn’s romance is sweet, charming, definitely sizzling and the perfect couple to bring all of these love stories to a close.  Finn’s fear of losing anyone again after his parent’s deaths made it difficult for him to see that love is a risk worth taking – no matter for how long you may have.  Sophia felt she couldn’t possibly live up to what her parents or even her adopted brother had accomplished in their lives.  Each was searching for something, until they discovered that it was actually someone they needed to complete themselves and find what matters most in their lives.

This holiday reunion of all the Shifter families takes place back in Frost Peak, Alaska.  We will once again meet up with every couple and their children… and for some, their grandchildren at this Christmas gathering.  It was such a beautiful trip down memory lane, remembering stories, and tragedies and the survival of love and each other throughout the years.

If you’ve followed all or even just one of these series – then Christmas In A Fur Coat is a story that you simply must read.  A sense of going home.  Seeing family again.  And knowing that they are all safe, still in love and forever in our reading hearts.  It is a beautiful story, and the perfect place to say fare thee well to old friends.

I read this story through my Kindle Unlimited subscription. For ten dollars a month you get access to thousands of really great stories across all genre, and the authors get paid for you reading the story through to the 100% mark. It’s a win-win. Probably the best 10 bucks I spend a month.
