Love at first sight? Hell no!

When Jett and Tatum literally run into each other in front of Woodland Inn, love is not the first thing that comes to mind.

Hiking tour guide by day, Jett the resident wolf loves nothing more than spending time outdoors and being one with nature and his animal. Looking after the humans while simultaneously being the alpha of his small pack comes with a great responsibility. It’s a responsibility he doesn’t take lightly. So, when he hears about a rogue pack that is threatening the safety of the tourists and locals of White Mountain, he is constantly on alert.

Being the new girl in town sucks, but so does living in a place where you repeatedly have to prove yourself to everyone. Though female mechanics aren’t unheard of, Tatum’s co-workers are dead set in making her life a living hell because of her career choice. When she decides to visit a friend on White Mountain and is asked to move there, Tatum considers this both a blessing and a curse. She’s able to escape the ignorance that’s kept her so angry all these years, but she cannot escape the bane of her existence known as Jett.

Both wolf and human have come to terms with the fact that they will never get along. Especially, since Tatum tried to run Jett over. Twice. And considering she blames Jett for the disastrous act of mother nature that wrecked her precious motorcycle, he figures he’s done with her for good.

That is until Gerri Wilder of the Paranormal Dating Agency sets them up on a blind date, with each other. Tempers flare, arguments ensue, and a few threats with a butter knife fly across the table. Yet, neither of them can deny the chemistry blazing between them.

But, what will happen when Tatum’s life is threatened? Will Jett risk everything to save his mate’s life, even if he has to pay the price with his own?

Sexy shifters and their feisty mates who aren’t shy about loving each other – so, this is an adult, 18+ reader tale.

Where He Leads is part of the Paranormal Dating Agency universe and a continuing of the characters in Her Mane Attraction.  Please visit our Paranormal Dating Agency KW page for more titles and links to reviews here at Shifter Haven.

Title:  Where He Leads
Series:  Paranormal Dating Agency Kindle Worlds
Author:  Nicole Garcia
Published:  April 9, 2018
My Rating:  3 stars

While it’s true that Where He Leads has a lot of fast paced, steamy action, I once again find myself wanting to rant rather than review… and that’s not good.  So I believe that I simply have to acknowledge that this author’s style of storytelling is just not my style of enjoyment and walk away.

Jett and Tatum are both stubborn beyond belief.  When Tatum decides to make a visit to her friend, Eira and her mate Adonis who are expecting twins (we met them in their story Her Mane Attraction) she didn’t expect to ruin her precious motorcycle or find her mate.  Both put her in a very, very bad mood.  Jett is Alpha to his pack, a guide for the resort’s hiking tours for humans… and coming to realize that he’s missing something in his life.  But this spitfire is the last woman he’d want for a mate and isn’t afraid to tell her that to her face.  Oil and water.  Day and night.  These two couldn’t be more opposites if they tried.  Add to this drama a group of rogue wolf shifters out to make trouble and you have a steamy, action filled story.

Looking over the reviews for Where He Leads on Goodreads it seems that my dislike for this couple is very much in the minority.  That’s okay, we cannot all like the same types of stories, that would be completely boring.  And I’m really glad that there is an audience for this story, I’m not a nasty person here.  I simply could not connect nor like either of the main characters.  There has to be more to a romance than intense fighting and fast, hot sex in order for me to enjoy the story.  Constant fighting, vicious fighting and hot, steamy sex is what I found here.  So, no this isn’t for me but there is an audience who will enjoy Jett and Tatum’s story.  I gave it a 3 star rating which is a “good” book and I’m just going to walk away and not try to continue with the other, obvious, stories waiting to be written in this series within the PDA Kindle World.
