There’s never been a female on the Dallas SWAT team and Senior Corporal Xander Riggs prefers it that way. The elite pack of alpha male wolf shifters is no place for a woman. But Khaki Blake is no ordinary woman.

When Khaki walks through the door attractive as hell and smelling like heaven, Xander doesn’t know what the heck to do. Worse, she’s put under his command and Xander’s protective instincts go on high alert. When things start heating up both on and off the clock, it’s almost impossible to keep their heads in the game and their hands off each other…

While all Shifters are hot – this team is more like an inferno.  Hot sexy encounters ahead for readers 18+

Want to find out how Xander discovered his The One?  Then read on for my thoughts about Wolf Trouble.

Word has come down from the higher ups – you know the ones that sit behind a desk and never see any action except in their imaginations, and even then they’d get people killed, yeah those ones – that Dallas SWAT needs to add a woman to their ranks.  There is no way that a human woman can come onto this SWAT team and not expose them for exactly what they were… a unit of wolf shifters, werewolves even.  So Gage has only one option left for his unit – go out and find a female werewolf.

Khaki was sick and tired of being on this small town’s police force.  Ever since she’d broken up with that jerk Jeremy no one would take her side against that scumbag.  The worst part was that right now she needed backup, badly or people maybe even her were going to die and because she’d been blackballed within the force no one was coming and that fact just sucked.  When by some miracle she pulled off not dying in that shootout, she started to notice things differently.  Like why was her sense of smell so enhanced now?  Her questions soon had answers when Gage was waiting for her outside the police station.  Dallas SWAT badge in hand.  So sure, she’d talk and listen to his proposal — and change the rest of her life.

That scent hit Xander hard the minute Khaki walked into the compound.  To discover that this was their female werewolf recruit and that Gage had assigned her to his Team simply blindsided Xander.  He didn’t want her on his Team and made that fact known loudly to Gage, but as his superior officer and the Pack Leader, Gage had the final say.  Even though Xander seemed to forget about a werewolf’s increased hearing ability during this discussion.  He just knew that her scent was driving him crazy and he had no clue why or how to handle her under his command.

Wolf Trouble takes us through Khaki’s introduction, training and melding with SWAT.  Her teammates soon realize that she is fully equipped to do the work they do without question.  Oh sure, she needed training – but she’d proven she was up to the task.  She doesn’t know why Xander dislikes her so much, especially when his scent sends her hormones into overdrive.  Oh, well.  At least she made it through training.

Xander and Khaki will take a while to figure out just why they react so to each other’s scents.  But once they do act on the mutual attraction there is no doubt that they are perfect on the job and off.  Through bank robberies, hostage situations this team pulls Khaki deeper into the Pack and the work they do.  Soon she is as trusted as the longer standing members.  But hiding the attraction from their teammates becomes harder to do the more involved this couple becomes.

Until one disastrous call that will change everything.

I completely enjoyed Wolf Trouble.  Xander and Khaki are a hot, sexy couple and the edge of danger in their involvement just adds to the tensions in this story.   It will take awhile for them to realize that the other is their The One, mate forever.  But once they do, nothing and no one will keep them apart.

The action is fast paced and realistic, fast page turning will be involved as you devour this gripping tale.  This one is an excellent addition to the SWAT series.  And I cannot wait to start reading the next team member’s story… after all there are sixteen members to this SWAT unit.  *grin*  I’m a happy shifter reader at that number.  Pick this one up now while there’s only one earlier story to get caught up on because I’m thinking you just might find yourself addicted to this particular series.  I know I certainly am.
