A Valentine's ChaseMeadow Crawford sees things that no one else does. When a blind date goes badly wrong, she discovers that the world of fae and a city full of shifters actually exist. And that Rafe O’Shea isn’t the kind of man to let a disastrous first date deter him from asking for a second.

Rafe knows Meadow is meant to be his mate from the moment he sees her, but her friendship with the mysterious fae leader Smith brings a new level of complication into Rafe’s life. When Meadow is kidnapped by a rogue pack, Rafe will pay any price and fight any monster to rescue her.

With Valentine’s Day right around the corner, Rafe wants his mate safe with him and to show her everything is right in the world. But if she can’t trust herself or her new powers as a muse, how will she ever trust him?

Sexy shifters and their feisty mates who aren’t shy about loving each other – so, this is an adult, 18+ reader tale.

I couldn’t let Valentine’s Day slip past without some Shifter lovin’ but I haven’t actually read any truly Valentine Shifter books this past week.  So, I’m reaching into the drafts of series that I’m getting caught up on to bring you a title from the City Shifters: The Pride series that came out a few years ago.  I’m actually jumping ahead two books, but it won’t make a difference to the enjoyment of Rafe and Meadow’s story.

A Valentine’s Chase is the seventh title in the City Shifters: The Pride series.  And although the story has been out for a few years now that makes no difference to a really good love story with a touch of magic, Shifters, and danger.

Rafe is co-Alpha of the wolf pack with his sister Ruby.  Carter and Ruby have found each other as mates and are as happy as two in love new mates can possibly be — which leaves Rafe a bit lonesome and maybe a bit grumpy.  Instead of sulking, like he wants to, Rafe gets himself a matchmaker and a blind date for Valentine’s Day.  Only this beautiful woman isn’t a shifter and she isn’t even fully human – but what she is, it seems, is his fated mate which leaves our flirty Rafe rather tonguetied.  Talk about complicated.

I loved Meadow and Rafe together.  Their story is filled with sizzle, chemistry, danger, discoveries and pack, lots and lots of the world of the packs.  I had fun with this couple and their story.  I do believe these stories should be read in order whenever possible – yes, they could stand on their own, but the background that flows from one to the next does help in understanding this world.  There are new friendships to forge and understand as well as some nasty villains to be dealt with.  A Valentine’s Chase is a sexy romance that any Paranormal Romance or Shifter Romance reader would enjoy.

At the time that I read this title, it was available through my Kindle Unlimited subscription, it is no longer in KU.  Yes, unfortunately, this review post got lost in the draft folder – sigh.  I know, bad reviewer.

Available in paperback, audio and for the Kindle
