Marian West has nothing left to her name but her car (which is currently broken down), an old coin in her pocket, and the legend of a man named Harrison, who she’s currently looking for. But instead of finding the last person that can help her, she gets a pack of hungry coyotes instead. By either good or bad luck, she’s rescued by a tall, gorgeous stranger with eyes bluer than a Texas sky. His dominant presence is matched only by the mystery that surrounds him and his sprawling, rugged land.
Harrison didn’t expect to find the curvy, stubborn woman so interesting. After saving her from coyotes and more, the experienced cowboy boss of Dragonclaw Ranch knows he owes Marian for a favor her father did for him a long time ago. But his dragon says “mate” every time he looks at her, and even though he’s going to help the determined woman, it will be difficult to keep the monster inside him from wanting to make her his own.
Marian thinks Harrison is avoiding her. And she would be right. But the growly, hot cowboy with a shockingly kind heart is making all her senses come alive. Unexpected kisses lead quickly to scorching nights beneath the full Texas moon. Danger and secrets lurk around every corner, but anything that threatens a Texas dragon’s mate will quickly learn that everything is bigger in Texas. Even a dragon’s love.
This is an adult 18+ story that contains language, possible violence, and sexual situations geared to an adult audience.

Cowboy Dragon starts off the new series, Texas Dragons with an intense romance with a few twists along the way.
I will say upfront that while I totally enjoyed Marian and Harrison’s story, I really missed the magic touches to her shifters that I’m used to from this author. Often the opening story is not only a romance but an introduction to the crew we’re about to be involved with. And this is a pretty amazing rough ‘n tumble crew of not only dragons but a few other shifters as well. So, while I might not have gotten as much dragon time as I would have loved to… the story captured my imagination and holds such possibilities for the rest of the series. Every member of Harrison’s crew that we met is a bit unique from the others with distinct personality traits, and stories yet untold. I’m looking forward to those stories, especially one tiger shifter who caught my attention.
Marian is about to step into a world she has no idea even exists. She’s calling in a debt to her deceased father by trying to find a cowboy named Harrison and return his scared silver coin. She might be down on her luck right now but she’s strong, stubborn, and determined to stand on her own – even if she does need some help right now. Harrison turned out to be nothing like she expected. And for a cowboy, he certainly did capture her attention with thoughts of possibilities.
Harrison is a very long-lived dragon shifter who immediately recognized the coin he’d given to Marian’s father long ago as a debt owed. He’s stubborn yet feels the pull toward this little human with her frailties and impossible logic. It’s been a rule of his that no humans end up on his ranch… but he’ll make an exception for the woman who is slowly changing how he feels about those humans.
With danger in the background from different sources, Marian and Harrison set out to settle a debt and perhaps fall in love along the way. It will take one serious misstep for this dragon to realize he may have missed his chance with his mate – and he’s the only one who can fix that, right now.
I had fun with this new crew of characters, I see possibilities on the horizon for these unique individuals and I’ve already got the next title, Rancher Dragon, downloaded and ready to dive into. If you love a good Shifter Romance with a touch of the wild, wild west, and a complex crew then this is a series you’ll want to get started on soon.
I own a Kindle edition of Cowboy Dragon.
