Werewolf. Billionaire. Bastard. Husband? There’s no way that Taylor Stockdale is marrying her rude, arrogant, sexy boss. Unfortunately, billionaire CEO Cliff Bronson’s not the kind of man who takes no for an answer. He holds the fate of Taylor’s best friend in his hands – and he’s willing to bargain for Taylor’s hand in marriage. But he’s openly avoided her for the past year, so why is he suddenly demanding a wedding – before the next full moon? And why did he call her his “mate”? And why does everyone in the little town of Hidden Hills act so weird once a month?

Cliff Bronson has made a terrible mistake. He’d been long-distance lusting after the curvy secretary for the past year – he likes her smart mouth as much as her full figure. The second he met Taylor in person, he knew that she was his, and he knew she was a werewolf – he smelled it on her. So, as was his right, he demanded that she be his mate. Unfortunately, it turns out that Taylor has no idea of what she is, and the first rule of being a werewolf is, nobody talks about being a werewolf. Now it’s a race against time to convince her that she’s his one and only – before his pack enacts their terrible and ancient law calling for the death of any human who learns of their existence.

Sexy shifters and their feisty mates who aren’t shy about loving each other – so, this is an adult, 18+ reader tale.

The Billion-were Needs A Mate is one of those stories where the action hits almost immediately and doesn’t let up until the final page.  Taylor has no clue that she’s been turned and dropped right into the middle of the craziest, most dangerous world she could ever have imagined.  Cliff knows he’s found his mate.  He’s been in touch with Taylor through Skype concerning her job for almost a year now.  His attraction to her is growing each day until he’s made the decision to go get his werewolf mate in person.  His plate is pretty full with the Alpha Trials to determine the new alpha of his pack, some very annoying contenders for that title staying at the estate, brothers acting up and now the unreasonable urge to go claim Taylor as his mate immediately has Cliff quite on edge.  His shock at Taylor’s reaction to his claim is almost humorous until it becomes clear that Taylor has no idea what he’s talking about, she does’t know she’s a werewolf as well… and he’s just outed a community of paranormal beings with rules from hundreds of years ago intact that says outsiders are to be killed if they learn of werewolves.  Yeah, just another day at the office for them both.

Since this is the first story in the series there is some world building, yet it falls naturally through descriptions and the introduction of characters as well as dialogue.  I never felt overpowered by what I was learning as it flowed quite easily.  There are several characters to meet.  Obviously the villain is one slimy piece of crap, but he’s not the only one to watch out for.  Humor is very much alive and well in Cliff and Taylor’s romance as their one liners are such fun, and several other characters definitely have that verbal magic touch.  Some of the characters we meet will have their full stories told at some point in the future, for now they are part of our couple’s world as we learn more about them all.

I had such fun with  The Billion-were Needs A Mate.  Taylor and Cliff are without question an alpha couple to contend with, close friendships, mysteries, danger and definitely sexy times make this a story that any Paranormal Romance or Shifter Romance reader will want to dive into.  I would recommend this one and I’m already watching for the announcement of the next story’s publication date.  I can’t wait to get back into their world.

I read this title through my Kindle Unlimited subscription.  The best ten bucks I spend a month.
