To Dara’s amazement, she’s rescued by an ice dragon – who turns into a sexy, charismatic man who hasn’t left his snow castle in twenty years.

Henrik Drakeson is a dragon shifter who lost his parents long ago in a terrible accident. For most of his life, he has carried that burden with him, choosing loneliness over the happy visitors that once came to the family’s snow castle every winter. He’s promised himself he’d stay forever alone, so he’d never hurt anyone again – until his mate suddenly appears on his doorstep in a snow storm, bringing all the joy and cheerfulness of Christmas to his lonely home.

Can Dara heal the pain of his wounded heart? And can they uncover the truth about his past – and defend each other against the ruthless enemy behind the old tragedy?

Sexy shifters and their feisty mates who aren’t shy about loving each other – so, this is an adult, 18+ reader tale.

Stand Alone Title

Dara’s Christmas vacation is going to take a turn for… something totally unexpected.  While searching for the perfect place to stay for her Christmas alone, Dara is taking a chance on an obviously old signboard along the side of the road pointing the way to not only a Christmas Village but a Snow n Ice Castle as well.  For a woman in search of a perfect for her Christmas, that was simply too hard to resist.  As she drove up the mountain light snow began to fall.  By the time she had made it to the establishment’s icy gates it was definitely a Christmas snow.  Curious, and still believing she had time to get back down to the village for the night, Dara began climbing the path up to the Ice Castle she could see on the mountain… and the snow continued to fall hard and faster now,

Henrik felt the change in his lands, any dragon is closely attuned to the land they protect, and his mountain was crying out to him.  She was here, on his mountain… his mate… and she was in danger.

Twenty years ago, Henrik’s parents were killed in a car crash.  He has always blamed himself for their deaths, even though he had absolutely nothing to do with the crash.  Still as a young dragon he had gone out to play in the up winds of the mountain and gotten stuck, having to call to his parents for rescue.  They had left a party to drive to him and he never questioned why they hadn’t flown… he knew only that his parents were dead, and it as his fault.  He’d been living here, in isolation for all those years.  His only companion silence and the periodic visits from his uncle, Alistair.  Now to discover that his mate had actually found him was a bittersweet emotion – for he feared that he would inadvertently harm her as well.

There is danger lurking for both Dara and Henrik – and the pain of that betrayal will be almost unbearable.

The Christmas Dragon’s Mate is a charming story of an ice dragon who has given up his life only to find it once again in the arms of his true love.  Our couple will find love, steaming sexy moments, traditions and evil lurking where no one would suspect… and a love to protect them each for a lifetime.

I enjoyed this Christmas tale very much.  Dara and Henrik were a fun couple, definitely sexy, and most definitely meant for each other.  If you’re in the mood for a really good Christmas dragon love story this season, then you’d enjoy Dara and Henrik’s romance.
