Centuries ago, a witch laid a curse on a small town that froze its local werewolves in place. They’ve been waiting for one woman to change their fate, and lift the dark magic burden from their pack. Every Halloween has been the same–waiting, watching, failing…and so the wolves of Hollow Rock had accepted their place protecting the town for all of eternity. Callum Ashbrock is the alpha of Hollow Rock, and when his sister calls to say the words he’s been waiting for centuries to hear, he can’t believe the time has finally, finally come. He’s found her. Her. The one he’s been missing for all this time, and she’s finally in his town, just in time for Halloween.

Stacia Wallace has waited her entire life to celebrate her favorite holiday in the town that parties for a full week around the spookiest time of year. Hollow Rock’s Halloween festival is a gathering place for Halloween-goers of all ages, and the stars have finally aligned for her to be right in the middle of the action. Everything is perfect, from the costumes to the spooky hotel accommodations, to the sexy, bright-eyed man who is showing a keen interest in her. She’s here for one week of wild fun, but she has no idea how wild her life is about to get. Callum is interesting and handsome and protective in all the right ways, but she’s slowly finding out things about herself she didn’t know before. And when the weight of the town’s curse falls on her shoulders, she’ll have to choose between saving the man she’s falling for, or saving herself. Nothing is as it seems in Hollow Rock.

I had such fun with Ashbrock Curse.  It’s a short Halloween time story but it still packs all the sexiness, the danger, and the great crew-based stories that I’ve come to expect and adore from T. S. Joyce.  The only problem is… well, it’s a short story and beyond what the Cover Description tells you about it there really isn’t much more I feel I can safely say without risking spoilers.

I adored Stacia.  She’s funny, awkward, and secure enough in herself that she can acknowledge that about herself without being well, awkward about it.  She knows herself and she’s comfortable with who she is… or at least she thought she did.  With her long-awaited trip to this Halloween-themed town, Stacia is going to face a few surprises, find one handsome, sexy mate, and a sister from another mother new best friend.

Callum oozes sexiness and pure alpha with his every move and word.  The danger facing the woman he loves, and his pack is very real.  And it will turn out to be very painful as well.  For a short romance, Ashbrock Curse certainly did deliver – I’m wishing for more to come from this magical town.  Halloween might be passed for this year but you certainly don’t have to wait another year to enjoy Stacia and Callum’s adventure.
