Cover Description:

(This is a short prequel novella that tells the story of how the Rochon parents met prior to having their three sons Cage, Wyatt, and Conner. This book takes place many, many years before the first PNW story, Bearly Cooking. )

In 1955 the chance of meeting your one true mate was challenging. Connie White was not interested in derailing her life plans to become a housewife. Her future was ahead of her and it didn’t involve an apron.

Edward Rochon wanted nothing more than to find his mate and start his life. Sometimes all it takes is being in the right place at the right moment.

Sexy shifters and their feisty mates who aren’t shy about loving each other – so, this is an adult,  18+ reader tale.

We’ve come to know Connie and Edward Rochon as the parents of some of the hottest bear shifters around.  Aunt and Uncle to some strapping fine men.  As well as in-laws to some amazing women.  Through their extended family they call bears, humans and cougars their own – along with some adorable grandkids.

As children we don’t think too much about how our parents became.. well, mom and dad.  They simply always were – but every couple has a beginning.  That moment when everything changed and two hearts became one.

This is how the Rochon family began, how the Pacific Northwest Werebears got their start in this world (it’s hard to think of Cage, Wyatt or Conner as cubs, isn’t it?).

This very short prequel gives us Connie and Edward’s meeting, their love story – the one that started a lot of other love stories for us to enjoy.

I loved this glimpse into Connie and Edward’s first meeting, first knowledge of finding their mate.  It’s obvious from the solid love, family and time spent in the pantry adjusting clothing that their love has only grown stronger over the years.  A short, sweet love story that kinda makes the series more complete.

Indulge and enjoy.

(This title originally was reviewed on my Haunted Bookshelf blog.  I wanted all of my shifter romance reviews in one place so this was brought over to Shifter Haven.  Both reviews were written and created by me.)
