Lusting after your best friend is hard. Being trapped in his head is hell.

As a wolf shifter in Forbidden, Kentucky, Brody’s no stranger to weird. Packing enough rat traps to maim a small army, he’s ready to battle the bad magic that plagues his old house. He knows just who to call for backup, too–the donut-crafting, magic-wielding woman of his dreams.

Years of ‘will they/won’t they’ are exhausting, even for a witch. But Pearl’s in it for the long haul, for that chance that she and her best friend will one day graduate from playing “hide and seek” to playing “hide the sausage.” To that end, she’s always wished for a peek inside of his head.

When her wish comes true, it’s way more than she bargained for.

Side-by-side, they know there’s nothing they can’t handle…until a giant, moonwalking rodent makes an appearance in their shared dream.

This is an adult 18+ story that contains language, possible violence, and sexual situations geared to an adult audience.

Titles in the Alphas & Alchemy Fierce Mates series include – Claimed in Forbidden – Fated in Forbidden  – Bound to Forbidden – Caught in Forbidden – Mated in Forbidden –  Forever in Forbidden – Destined in Forbidden (final… or is there a spin-off coming, hmmm?)

(This series is a connection between Keira’s Alpha & Alchemy series and Liza’s Fierce Mates series that is simply explosive and I suspect addictive so get started now.)

Title:  Forever in Forbidden
Series:  Alphas & Alchemy: Fierce Mates #6
Author:  Keira Blackwood & Liza Street
Published:  August 18, 2020
My Rating:  4.5 stars

2020 seems to be the year that I’m doing so much catching up on series and recent releases from favorite authors, like Keira Blackwood and Liza Street with their Alphas & Alchemy: Fierce Mates series.  At this point in the year, all I can do is read and review as I can and hope that’s enough.  Yeah, I know – no sad songs in reviews, but it’s been that kind of year for us all I’m thinking.

I have been fascinated by Pearl throughout this series, especially as we’ve gotten to know her a little better with each new book.  So Pearl and Brody finally getting their story told was pure gold for me.  And it was, perfection – a bit silly, a bit steamy, a bit dangerous, and a whole lot of great experience… well, I’m not a fan of rats but besides that, ya know?

Pearl and Brody have had feelings for each other since childhood, but they haven’t acted on them firmly keeping each other in the death to romance “friend zone”.  But, the reality is that neither ever stopped caring and wondering those “if only” thoughts.  Finally, as Pearl is cleansing a family home that Brody is about to renovate circumstances are about to come together to make them see loud and clear that they belong together.  If they can survive this house and this demon – they can make it through anything else that life or Forbidden tosses their way.

I had a blast with Forever in Forbidden (well, I do with every story in this series, but this one was extra special).  There is a satisfaction in seeing two people finally make a positive move to each other instead of away from that gave their romance that this is perfect and could end right here feeling… but there is one more story.  So, don’t stop now – get yourself caught up or begin this series and get ready for laughter, danger, and a whole lot of lovin’ from this crew.

I own a Kindle edition of Forever in Forbidden.

This is a link to the Amazon page where you can purchase or borrow from Kindle Unlimited if you so choose.  The links on Amazon are kinda wonky today, I’ll fix this link when Amazon fixes their side of it all.  🙂
