Jingle bells and magic spells

Daniella has everything she needs for a quiet Christmas at home with her dog, Fabio. She’s got way too much food, a real Christmas tree, a cable station streaming non-stop holiday movies, and even fruitcake. All she needs now is an ornament for her tree…

But what she gets instead is a glass dragon imprisoning a gorgeous naked guy from another world.

Trey, fae dragon knight, protector of the realm, and defender of the fallen crown, has finally been released from his spell by a kiss from a beautiful woman (and her noble hound). His power hobbled, his dragon form embarrassingly small, he finds himself navigating a strange world of wonders like televisions, refrigerators, and ham sandwiches, absolutely enspelled by a woman who swears she isn’t a witch.

Then Trey discovers that the enemy from his homeworld is starting to spill into Daniella’s and it will take power he no longer has to protect her… a power that is locked in Daniella’s heart.

Titles in the Fae Shifter Knights series include – Dragon of Glass – Gryphon of Glass (holiday season of 2020)

How degrading. Stuck babysitting a woman because his alpha said so. As Pride Beta, he has better things to do with his time, like washing his impressive mane, hunting down thugs for fun, and chasing tail—sometimes his own if his lion is feeling playful.

But his babysitting job takes an unexpected turn when the woman he’s assigned guard duty over turns out to be his mate.

A female threatened by an outside wolf pack.

A woman he wants to call his own.

A mate who doesn’t fall for his charm.

Usually, Betas leave the roaring to the Pride’s alpha, but in this case, given his level of frustration, he might have to make an exception. And if anyone doesn’t like it, they can kiss his furry tail.
Rawr!

Aaron Winter has waited for nearly two decades to claim his mate and now he has his chance. He’s going to do everything he can to convince Celeste that she’s the only one for him… and his bear.

He’s had two dreams in his life: Turning Mystic Mountain Resort into a getaway for shapeshifters and to have Celeste at his side. The town is excited as nearly all the residents are shifters themselves.

Celeste Olwin is at a turning point in her life. She raised her kids as a single mom, with Aaron as her friend and rock. She was already half in love with the man.

But Aaron has always kept his emotional distance from her and after all of this time, he’s offering her a dream. There are still some questions she has about him, something she’s sure he’s hiding from her. She’s not sure if she can take that leap, because if he broke her heart now, she’d never survive.
Aaron knows he has to tell her who he really is if this is going to work between them, but to drag up old memories into the darkest night of her life may set her against him forever. Still, he can’t give up.

He’ll move a mountain to prove that he’ll protect her and love her like no one else could because they were meant to be.

They don’t know the first thing about being dragons. But they need to learn fast…

City planner Lindsay never expected to find a dying dragon on her local beach. (She was just trying to pick up some litter!) And she really never expected its final breath to change her life forever… and make her a killer’s next target.

But it’s the best thing to ever happen to her. Because despite this dangerous new world, she’s no longer alone…

One minute, artist Boone could just cross his fingers and hope the curvy, funny woman he met on the beach could be the start of something special. But one magical dragon breath later, he KNOWS she is. And he knows he’ll protect her with every skill he learned as a soldier—and with all his newfound powers. (Whatever those might be. He’s working on it.)

When the dragon’s dying wish transforms Boone and Lindsay into shifters, they’re plunged into a magical world neither ever suspected existed. With a powerful dragon-hunter hot on their tails, time is running out for them to figure out their new gifts… and their unexpected bond.

A dragon prophecy says they could end a centuries-old supernatural war. But what if saving the world means losing each other?

Clean Slate ~ It’s Time To Read Some Shifter Tales

Posted January 1, 2020 by Marsha in Shifter Haven Discussion / 0 Comments

Well.  I just have to say that I’m very glad 2019 is behind me.  Not that it was a horrible year, as years go, but it also wasn’t the greatest either.  So on to 2020, new plans, new goals… and hopefully, lots of new Shifter Romance tales to be read.

As happens every single Fall moving into Winter I got caught up in the Christmas Romance madness which I admittedly love and will read year-round.  This year was particularly full of stories – and honestly, many of those are still on my Kindle unread at this moment.  Yeah, books I paid for not ARCs, not borrowed, but mine.  Which is good because no deadlines, but bad because I didn’t get them finished in 2019.  Good thing I can read a Christmas Romance any time of the year, right?  🙂

Okay, on to Shifter Haven stuff.  Ya know, this really is my favorite (of my two) blogs because I simply adore and devour Shifter Romance.  Yet, lately, I’ve been seeing a lot of stories that merge Shifter with Magic/Fantasy and I’m of two minds where they belong between my two blogs.  I really intended SH to be strictly Shifter Romance (even though I do slip in a Paranormal Romance occasionally) — but I may branch out a bit to include those Shifter/Magic titles as well.  I’m thinking, right now, that it makes the most sense but we’ll see when the time comes to write reviews.

My intent is to keep the every other day schedule of posts/reviews which allows me that in-between day to post something amazing that I simply don’t want to wait to do.  I know, at some point I’ll be back to daily reviews but it’s good to have a base plan in place that’s open to improvising a bit.  I have *a lot* of draft reviews that for one reason or another didn’t make it onto the blog.  I’m sure they were good reasons – but some are three years old so who knows what I was planning/scheming back then, right??  I’d like to get them posted so I’ll be doing some of that work through the first quarter of the year.

So.  2020.  We made it to another decade.  Now let’s make it a fun, exciting one full of amazing love stories full of sizzling chemistry, good plotlines, swoon-worthy heroes and kick-ass heroines… and lots and lots of furry, sexy Shifters.  Oh, my first read of 2020 was a Shifter Romance and that review is scheduled.  🙂  I can’t help it – I love Shifters!
